Terms and policies

These are the same terms as on the Major Moves Swim registration and consent form. Major Moves Swim is a subsidiary of Major Moves Enterprise (Pty) Ltd.

Assessment

• All swimmers are required to complete an initial assessment.
• The assessment ensures correct placement, safety and skill level.
• An assessment fee applies (R450, once-off).
• The assessment includes a Major Moves Swim cap.
• Lesson placement is determined by the coach’s professional assessment.

Attendance and make-up lessons

• Missed lessons are not guaranteed to be made up.
• Make-up lessons are limited and offered at the discretion of Major Moves Swim.
• Make-up lessons operate on a rotation basis.
• If a make-up lesson is booked and missed, no further make-up lesson will be granted.
• Make-up lessons are subject to availability.

Weather and safety

• Lessons will be cancelled in the event of lightning or unsafe weather.
• Safety is the highest priority.
• Weather-related cancellations allow for a make-up lesson opportunity, subject to availability and mutual scheduling.

Code of conduct

• Pool rules and coach instructions must be followed.
• Punctual drop-off and collection is the parent’s responsibility.
• Unsafe or disruptive behaviour may result in lesson termination.

Payment terms

• Fees are payable monthly in advance.
• Payments must be made on or before the 1st of each month.
• Fees may be reviewed periodically.
• Failure to pay by the due date may result in suspension of lessons.
• Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Refunds and cancellations

Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing. To stop lessons, tell us before the 1st of the month by email or WhatsApp and we will not send the next month’s payment link.

Privacy (POPIA)

We collect the information on the registration and consent form: the swimmer’s name, date of birth, school and grade; the parent or guardian’s name, ID or passport number, address, phone numbers and email; medical information, allergies and emergency contacts; and your consent choices.

We use it only to run lessons safely, place swimmers, contact you, take payments and meet our legal obligations. Medical information is shared only with the coach teaching the swimmer. Card details are entered on PayGate’s secure page and never reach us. Records are stored with a secure database provider and kept while the swimmer has lessons with us and for a reasonable time afterwards.

You may ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time: email majormoveskph@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Photos and videos of a swimmer are used for social media, WhatsApp communication, marketing and promotion only if you gave consent on the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
